Ain't Mis-BEE-havin!

The other day as I was out doing a photoshoot, we got to see some beautiful flowers...we weren't the only ones that appreciated them though. We changed our location because of the bees, but not before I got a good shot of them.

Dragonflies

We went to the college campus yesterday to get some photos of Afton & Payton and saw the most beautiful dragonflies. They were all sizes and colors.

This one was nice enough to stop long enough for me to get focused in on him.

How can this dog be so sweet and so gross?

So, we have this beautiful weimer that we love and adore (most of the time).Alyx & I walked at the track this evening until after dark.

When we got home, we had a little delay getting into the house, because a little skunk decided to greet us at the front door.

We waited him out until he wandered away.

Sadly he was stupid enough to wander into the back yard with Zeke.

Zeke made short-time of this little guy.

Just killed him, drug him into the middle of the back yard and still no spray...until our amazingly idiotic dog decided he wanted to shake the skunk like a rag-doll.

Enough said

Now we have Gold-Canyon-Candles lit all through the house trying to ease the scent of the nature in the back yard.

Times like these are when I am crying on the inside wishing we had 500 lb bears in our yard again.

Thankfully, Chris is on his way over to help us figure out what to do with the little stinker and give Zeke the Geek a rinse-off.

Crazy Insane Bizzare Day!

Well it was an insane day and this is how it ended...

Sat down in the office talking to Mike on the phone and looked up to see a scorpion on the curtain! Alyx & I got a glass and trapped it (took a picture first) and took it outside and smooshed it to smitherines!!!!!
I am so ready for these things to quit coming into our house!
Holy Moly - enough.

Just felt like 'blogging'

I haven't updated in a while...oops!

I will probably get more stuff posted here eventually, but I am spending much of my time working on getting the portrait photography business Land of Wild Designs off the ground. I have lots of ideas and spend about 11-12 hours a day working on that, I sure hope it is successful! I've installed the new editing software and have been learning how to use it and am still using my old one as a supplemental feature. I am loving the way the pictures are turning out. Let me know what you think if you get a chance to take a look. I would love your input!

Zeke is living in the back yard once again. He is a sweet dog and has calmed down quite a bit since he became an old man - note the white muzzle - cute, huh? He was a little depressed at first missing Bubba - would cry for hours every day (starting around 10 am) and eventually he got into a little routine of his own. The cats are excited to see Zeke and everyone remembers each other, so that is cool. Max spends time with Zeke on the back-porch when I open the door wide enough for him to get out. ZeppLynn sits in the doorway and she & Zeke will touch noses, but she won't venture outside quite yet.

We got the grass back in the front yard and now we have a jungle of weeds. Will probably get out there and try to tame it one of these evenings. So much to do - that is for sure. The hedges were all over-grown when we got back and Mike trimmed them all. They are needing another hair-cut, so I will probably do that the evening I work on weeds - bleh. So, if you drive by & see me in the front yard sitting on my bottom pulling weeds - feel free to stop and say 'hey' I would love to hear from you :) (or call and chat - I have hours & hours of endless BORING weed pulling that keeps me in one place for a LONG time and will have plenty of time to chat - tee hee)

I took a little break...

I don't know if anyone noticed, but I took a little break from blogging for a short time. Just disappeared. If you didn't notice, that is ok...but it happened. I'm back.
